Easter Expectations and Real Life

I’ve lived in New England long enough to know that spring isn’t always what it’s cracked up to be. Jill and I initially discovered this almost 40 years ago, during our first year in New England. It was spring break at Yale Divinity School, so it was spring, right? Spring in Southern California, our home state, was when the wild flowers bloomed and when it was pleasantly warm but not hot.
